We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Elders, Ancestors and leaders of the Kulin Nations on whose unceded lands ILBIJERRI Theatre Company is based.
We extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, recognising their resilience and ongoing connection to land, water and culture, despite ongoing colonial interruption and genocide.
Always was, always will be, sacred Indigenous land.

ILBIJERRI Theatre Company is offering 1 and 2 day in-school workshops for primary school groups of up to 30 kids from grades 3 and 4, as part of ILBIJERRI Ensemble's theatre workshop program.
Available workshop dates:
The workshop will commence with a performance of a 30-minute play called GET YOUR GEEK ON by Isaac Drandic, which the whole school is welcome to attend. Themes and activities from the show will then be teased out in the subsequent workshops. The school can determine which young people will most benefit from participating in these workshops, but we ask that First Peoples participants are prioritised.
ILBIJERRI Ensemble is an artist development program including First Peoples emerging theatre practitioners. Program Director Nazaree Dickerson has trained the Ensemble team to lead workshops, collaborate with emerging and established First Peoples theatre artists, and build industry networks and career pathways. Running since 2018, ILBIJERRI’s Ensemble program has been shaped by its participants – and in 2023 the aim of the program is to empower Ensemble members to further empower a whole new generation of little theatre-makers!
Contact Alexandra Paige via [email protected] or Theodore Cassady via [email protected] for any inquiries or to express your interest in this program by Thursday 30 November 2023.
ILBIJERRI Ensemble is supported by City of Melbourne, the Betty Amsden Foundation, and the Gandel Foundation
