One Song: The Music of Archie Roach

We have teamed up with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and others for an event not to be missed this NAIDOC. Under the baton of Chief Conductor Jaime Martín, One Song: The Music of Archie Roach will feature a stellar line-up of artists who draw on their connections to the Australian legend to bring new life to his iconic songs, 5 and 6 July at Hamer Hall.

An evening of powerful song and sublime storytelling, One Song will celebrate the enormous legacy of Gunditjamara (Kirrae Whurrong/Djab Wurrung), Bundjalung Senior Elder, song man and storyteller, the enormous legacy of Archie Roach AC AM, as part of the MSO’s NAIDOC Week program.

Our very own Rachael Maza AM, directs the live concert featuring Dan Sultan, Emma Donovan, William Barton, Jess Hitchcock, and more, while Deborah Cheetham Fraillon AO will conduct the Dhungala Children’s Choir.
